DGB 116, as for II 41. — [1-2]: Kock (NN §2163A; Skald) suggests emendation of trú to hlýð ‘hear’, yielding alliteration with heill. — [7] gera ‘determine’: For this sense of gera see CVC: göra IV; Fritzner: gera 12. In a legal embellishment to Geoffrey’s narrative, Gunnlaugr has the fox deceptively offering the boar sole judgement (sjálfdœmi) in the dispute between them.
