The second element of this cpd, ‑ímnir, is usually considered a corrupt form of ‑mímir in either Vetmímir or Vetrmímir (see LP: vetrímnir, Skj B: vetrmímir and Note to Þul Himins I l. 15). The form ‑ímnir, however, has a parallel among the heiti for ‘sword’ (from íma f. ‘battle’; see Þul Sverða 9/3 and Note there). Although the heiti is spelled as two single words in the mss of the þulur and in the corresponding list of heaven-heiti in Skm (SnE 1998, I, 85), the reading leiptrhrjóðr may be preferable since Hrjóðr is mentioned in the previous line.
