Notes: [1-4]: Similar in content to Heiðr 23/1-4, where Hervǫr urges the shepherd not to be frightened by the fires burning around the island. — [6] muntún hugar ‘the desire-enclosure of the mind [BREAST]’: As other eds have noted, hugar appears to be redundant to the meaning of the kenning. Muntún is a hap. leg. — [7] draug ‘a revenant’: See Heiðr 29 Note to [All]. — [7] séi ‘sees’: Normalised to the 1250-1300 standard form of the subj. of sjá ‘see’; the mss. all have the later subj. form sjái.
