The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Aðalsteinn hét þá konungur í Englandi er þá hafði nýtekið við
konungdómi. Hann var kallaður hinn sigursæli og hinn
trúfasti.

Hann sendi menn til Noregs á fund Haralds konungs með þess
konar sending að sendimaður gekk fyrir konung. Hann selur
konungi sverð gullbúið með hjöltum og meðalkafla og öll
umgerð var búin með gulli og silfri og sett dýrlegum
gimsteinum.

Hélt sendimaðurinn sverðshjöltunum til konungsins og mælti:
"Hér er sverð er Aðalsteinn konungur mælti að þú skyldir við
taka."

Tók konungur meðalkaflann og þegar mælti sendimaðurinn: "Nú
tókstu svo sem vor konungur vildi og nú skaltu vera þegn hans
er þú tókst við sverði hans."

Haraldur konungur skildi nú að þetta var með spotti gert en
hann vildi einskis manns þegn vera. En þó minntist hann þess
sem hans háttur var að hvert sinn er skjót æði eða reiði
hljóp á hann, að hann stillti sig fyrst og lét svo renna af
sér reiðina og leit á sakar óreiður. Nú gerir hann enn svo og
bar þetta fyrir vini sína og finna þeir allir saman hér ráð
til, það hið fyrsta að láta sendimenn heim fara óspillta.
