hásæti valið aldar gætis
giftu fyld og guðdóms krafti,

Yfirþjóðkonungs allra jöfra
öllu góðu í himna höllu

Ítarlig höll {stillis himna}, valið hásæti {gætis aldar}, fyld giftu og krafti guðdóms, giefi mier orð til stefja þinna. Mær og {móðir {yfirþjóðkonungs allra jöfra}} ræðr og stýrir öllu góðu í höllu himna, sæl Máría hjá dróttni várum.
May the glorious hall {of the prince of the heavens} [= God (= Christ)], the chosen high-seat {of the guardian of people} [= God (= Christ)], filled with luck and the power of the Godhead, give me words for your refrains. The Virgin and {mother {of the supreme king of all princes}} [= God (= Christ) > = Mary] rules and governs everything good in the hall of the heavens, blessed Mary, next to our Lord.
