Útsteinn Útkv 6VIII (Hálf 46)
Hubert Seelow (ed.) 2017, ‘Hálfs saga ok Hálfsrekka 46 (Útsteinn Gunnlaðarson, Útsteinskviða 6)’ in Margaret Clunies Ross (ed.), Poetry in fornaldarsögur. Skaldic Poetry of the Scandinavian Middle Ages 8. Turnhout: Brepols, p. 341.
Hálfr, dreymði mik, hvatti, at ek berðumz,
ok kvez mér frækn konungr fylgja skyldu,
— hefir mér gramr verit góðr í draumi —
hvar sem vér orrostu eiga skyldum.
Dreymði mik, Hálfr hvatti, at ek berðumz, ok frækn konungr kvez mér fylgja skyldu, hvar sem vér skyldum eiga orrostu; gramr hefir verit mér góðr í draumi.
I dreamed Hálfr urged that I should fight, and the valiant king said that he would follow me, wherever we [I] should have a battle; the prince has been good to me in my dream.
Mss: 2845(37v) (Hálf)
Readings: [1] dreymði: ‘dreym’ with ‘di’ added by another hand in the margin to the left of the following line 2845 [7] hvar sem: hvar 2845
