Nú er að segja af sonum Gils og þeim frændum að þeir una illa
við ... miklu látið hafa og feng ... og koma til Hermundar á
Gilsbakka löngum því að traust allt áttu þeir undir Illuga
... einn til ... ðir ... Barða norðan til Hávafells ... vald
að ... g ... dar ... sér ... norð ... ðr ... orð ... da ...
og bi ... skil ... H ... í ... vera ... nst ... ðia ... fio
... st má við einn eld h ... io ... hann ... s ... um nótt að
finna menn og segir að hann vill ganga til Lögbergs
miðvikudag í mitt þing og vill þá láta fjölmenna sig. Engi
voru þá önnur stór mál á þingi og um þetta var mönnum
tíðhjalað hve lúkast mundu mál þessi og mikið rætt um Barða.

Barði fer við níu hundruð manna til Lögbergs miðvikudag í
mitt þing og nú er þar eru komnir höfðingjar þá fékkst brátt
hljóð og var eigi svo málugt sem fjölmennið var mikið. Það er
sagt að Barði tekur til máls.
