The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

En um sumarið ríður Þorbjörn til þings með menn sína úr
Ísafirði.

Það er þá enn einn dag að Bjargey gengur til máls við Hávarð.
Hann spurði þá hvað hún vildi.

Hún svarar: "Nú ætla eg að þú skulir ríða til þings og vita
ef nokkuð skipast um mál þitt."

Hann svarar: "Þetta er mér mjög í móti skapi. Eða þykir þér
eg ekki helst til hraktur af Þorbirni sonarbana mínum þó að
eigi hrekti hann mig meir þar sem allir höfðingjar koma
saman?"

"Eigi mun svo fara," sagði hún. "Þess get eg að nú verði
nokkurir veitandi að þínu máli og mun það gera Gestur
Oddleifsson. Og ef svo fer sem eg get að hann komi sættum á
með ykkur Þorbirni og hljóti hann að gjalda þér fé mikið þá
get eg að hann láti margt manna hjá vera og mun hringur
sleginn um yður og munuð þér fáir vera innan í hringnum þá er
Þorbjörn greiðir féið. Og ef svo ber til áður greitt er féið
að Þorbjörn gerir það nokkuð er þér er í móti skapi eða raun
að þá skaltu skunda á brott sem mest máttu. Og ef þér verður
þá léttara en þér þætti von á þá skaltu ekki sættast á þetta
mál því að þá er von þó að ólíklegt sé að hefnt verði Ólafs
sonar okkars. En ef þér léttist þá ekki þá skaltu ekki
ósáttur fara af þinginu því að þá mun ekki hefndin verða."

Hann kvaðst ekki vita til hvers þetta kæmi "en ef eg vissi að
hefndin mætti verða eftir Ólaf son minn þá hirði eg aldrei
hvað eg ynni þar til."
