The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):



Ólafur konungur stóð í lyftingu á Orminum. Bar hann hátt
mjög. Hann hafði gylltan skjöld og gullroðinn hjálm. Hann var
auðkenndur frá öðrum mönnum. Hann hafði rauðan kyrtil stuttan
utan um brynju.



En er Ólafur konungur sá að riðluðust flokkarnir og upp voru
sett merki fyrir höfðingjum þá spurði hann: "Hver er höfðingi
fyrir liði því er gegnt oss er?"



Honum var sagt að þar var Sveinn konungur tjúguskegg með
Danaher.



Konungur svarar: "Ekki hræðumst vér bleyður þær. Engi er
hugur í Dönum. En hver höfðingi fylgir þeim merkjum er þar
eru út í frá hægra veg?"



Honum var sagt að þar var Ólafur konungur með Svíaher.



Ólafur konungur segir: "Betra væri Svíum heima og sleikja um
blótbolla sína en ganga á Orminn undir vopn yður. En hverjir
eiga þau hin stóru skip er þar liggja út á bakborða Dönum?"



"Þar er," segja þeir, "Eiríkur jarl Hákonarson."



Þá svarar Ólafur konungur: "Hann mun þykjast eiga við oss
skaplegan fund og oss er von snarprar orustu af því liði.
Þeir eru Norðmenn sem vér erum."
