The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Eysteinn konungur gerði orð hinum vitrustum mönnum til
Jamtalands og hinum mestum, bauð þeim til sín en fagnaði
öllum er komu með blíðu mikilli og leiddi brott með vingjöfum
en teygði þá svo til vináttu við sig. En er þeir vöndust
margir að fara til hans og þágu gjafir hans, en sumum sendi
hann gjafir þeim er eigi komu þar, þá kom hann sér í
fullkomna vináttu við alla þá menn er réðu fyrir landinu.

Síðan talaði hann fyrir þeim og sagði að Jamtur höfðu það
illa gert er þeir höfðu snúist í brott frá Noregskonungum í
hlýðni eða í skattgjöfum, tók þar til máls er Jamtur höfðu
gengið undir ríki Hákonar konungs Aðalsteinsfóstra og verið
síðan lengi undir Noregskonungum, innti og það hversu mörg
þarfindi þeir máttu hafa af Noregi eða hversu mikill ómaki
þeim væri að sækja til Svíakonungs það er þeir þurftu. Og kom
hann svo sínum ræðum að Jamtur sjálfir buðu honum og báðu
hann að þeir vildu snúast til hlýðni við Eystein konung og
kölluðu það þurft sína og nauðsyn. Dró svo saman þeirra
félagsskap að Jamtur gáfu land allt undir ríki Eysteins
konungs. Tóku fyrst til þessa máls ríkismenn þar trúnaðareiða
af öllu fólkinu. Síðan fóru þeir til Eysteins konungs og sóru
honum land og hefir það haldist jafnan síðan. Vann Eysteinn
konungur Jamtaland með viti en eigi með áhlaupum sem sumir
hans langfeðgar.
