The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Magnús konungur hélt liði sínu norður í Noreg og dvaldist þar
um veturinn.

En er vor kom þá hafði Magnús konungur úti lið mikið og hélt
því suður til Danmerkur. En er hann kom þar spurði hann þau
tíðindi af Vindlandi að Vindur höfðu horfið undan hlýðni við
hann í Jómsborg. Þar höfðu Danakonungar haft jarlsríki mikið.
Hófu þeir Jómsborg að upphafi og var það orðið allstyrkt
vígi. En er Magnús konungur heyrði slíkt sagt þá bauð hann út
af Danmörk skipaher miklum og hélt um sumarið til Vindlands
með allan herinn og hafði allmikinn her.

Svo segir Arnór jarlaskáld:

Heyra skaltu, hve herskjöld báruð,

hilmis kundr, til Vinda grundar,

heppinn dróttu af hlunni sléttum

hélug börð, í stefjaméli.

Aldrei frá eg enn, vísi, valdið

Vinda sorg, að döglingr spendi,

flaustum var þá flóð um ristið,

fleiri skip til óðals þeira.

En er Magnús konungur kom til Vindlands þá lagði hann til
Jómsborgar og vann þegar borgina, drap þar mikið fólk en
brenndi borgina og landið víða út í frá og gerði þar hið
mesta hervirki.

Svo segir Arnór jarlaskáld:

Skjöldungr, fórstu um óþjóð eldi.

Auðið var þá flotnum dauða.

Hæstan kyntuð, hlenna þrýstir,

hyrjar ljóma suðr að Jómi.

Hvergi þorði hallir varða

heiðið fólk í virki breiðu.

Buðlungr, unnuð borgarmönnum

björtum eldi stalldræp hjörtu.

Mikið fólk á Vindlandi gekk til handa Magnúsi konungi en
miklu var hitt meira er undan flýði. Fór þá Magnús konungur
aftur til Danmerkur, bjó sér þar til vetursetu en sendi frá
sér herinn, bæði hinn danska og svo mart lið það er honum
hafði fylgt af Noregi.
