The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Síðan leggja þeir stefnulag við Hákon Ívarsson. En er þeir
finnast þá bar Finnur upp erindi sín fyrir Hákon, þau er
Haraldur konungur bauð honum. Fannst það brátt í ræðu Hákonar
að honum þótti sér skylda mikil á vera að hefna Eindriða
frænda síns, segir að honum voru þau orð komin úr Þrándheimi
að honum mundi þar fást gnógur styrkur til uppreistar í móti
konungi.

Síðan tjáði Finnur fyrir Hákoni hversu mikill munur honum
var, að betra var að taka af konungi svo mikil metorð sem
hann kynni sjálfur að beiða, heldur en hætta til þess að
reisa orustu í móti konungi þeim er hann var áður
þjónustubundinn við, segir að hann mun fara ósigur "og hefir
þú þá fyrirgert bæði fé og friði. En ef þú sigrast á Haraldi
konungi þá muntu heita drottinsviki."

Jarl studdi og þessa ræðu með Finni.

En er Hákon hugsaði þetta fyrir sér þá lauk hann það upp er
honum bjó í skapi, sagði svo: "Eg mun sættast við Harald
konung ef hann vill gifta mér Ragnhildi dóttur Magnúss
konungs Ólafssonar, frændkonu sína, með þvílíkri heimanfylgju
sem henni sómir og henni líkar."

Finnur segir að hann vill þessu játa af konungs hendi.
Staðfesta þeir þetta mál milli sín. Síðan fer Finnur norður
aftur til Þrándheims. Settist þá niður þessi ófriður og agi
svo að konungur hélt þá enn ríki sínu í friði innanlands því
að þá var niður drepið sambandi því öllu er frændur Eindriða
höfðu haft til mótstöðu við Harald konung.
