[6] : The alliteration requires that the missing three syllables start with a vowel and contain the aðalhending -óð-. Jón Helgason suggested óðaljǫrð ‘ancestral home’ here, based in part on his own reading of the ms. (‘[...]ll[...]þ’), but this is largely conjectural.
