Editions: Skj AI, 581, Skj BI, 577, Skald I, 280; Flat 1860-8, II, 521.

Notes: [All]: The number of years given for Hákon’s rule tallies with those of HákgóðHkr (ÍF 26, 182) and Fsk (ÍF 29, 94). HN (MHN 106) and ÓH (1941, 18) have twenty-seven years (counting the year he ruled jointly with his brother Eiríkr). Theodoricus (MHN 9) gives twenty-five years and Ágr (ÍF 29, 9) has twenty-four years. See Ólafía Einarsdóttir 1964, 174-7. — [1] kappsamr ‘vigorous’: See Note to st. 4/1.
