Nú og fyr því að vér skulum á degi þessum inum dýrlega taka corpus Domini , þá ina helgustu þjónustu , er Guð hefir hugða til handa oss og miklu er margfaldri dýrð og hjálp í fólgin , heldur en hugur manns né eins megi að fullu of rannsaka , þá gengur einkanlega hátt nauðsyn sú , að vér leitim við á alla vega að búast við því inu mikla ráði , sem vér kunnum vandlegast . Því að sú in helga þjónasta af jafnmiklum krafti , sem hún er , má eigi að svo litlu lægjast , að eigi verði hún hverjum manni annað tveggja , að inni mestu líkn eða að áfallsdómi . Sicut mælir of það Páll postuli : " Fyr því verðið ér , " kveður hann , " voveiflegum sóttum sjúkir eða bráðdauðir , að of mikil dirfð verður til borin að taka corpus Domini . "
