Regressos ad amnem superstites Guthmundus nauigio traiicit exceptosque domi, cum diu ac multum exoratos retentare non posset, ad ultimum donatos abire permisit. Hie Buchi parum diligens sui custos laxatis continentie neruis uirtute, qua hactenus fruebatur, abiecta unam e filiabus eius irreuocabili amore complexus exitii sui connubium impetrauit, moxque repentino uerticis circuitu actus pristinum memorie habitum perdidit. Ita egregms ille tot mon- strorum domitor, tot periculorum subactor, unius uirginis facibus superatus peregrinatum a continentia animum miserabili iugo uoluptatis inseruit. Qui cum abiturum regem honestatis causa prosequeretur, uadum curricula transiturus altius desidentibus rotis ui uorticum implicatus absumitur.
