The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þar næst getur um að Styr vo þennan sama mann [að mig minnir] og að hann héti Þormóður [kannske, og so minnir mig, hann hafi heitið Þorbjörn og sé sá sem Landnáma um getur p. 53, bróðir Kleppjárns en Þórdís systir þeirra, kannske hafi verið móðir Gests, og hann nefnist þar Þorgestur. (Síðar bætir Jón við með blýantsyfirstrikun:) og nú minnir mig að málsháttur Styrs upp á hótanir Borgfirðinga eigi hér heima, og víst er það að hann á ei vera svo seint sem hann er hér settur] eður þvílíku nafni. Vildi sá forðast Styr og hafði vara á sér. Var hann tekinn til að færa sig úr byggðinni er Styr frétti til ferða hans. Tók hann sig þá heiman með fjóra menn og reið af stað um nóttina eður í dögun. Spurði hann upp náttstaði hans í tveim stöðum. Vildu þó báðir þeir bændur leyna manninum. Reið Styr so upp veg eftir hönum. Þetta var á einu kveldi. Mætti hann þá mönnum sem sögðust hafa séð menn ríða fyrir utan almenningsveg. Hvataði Styr þá eftirreiðinni og varð var við mennina í víðirkjörrum nokkrum eður kvosum skammt frá veginum. Reið hann þegar þar að og fóru eigi mörg orð milli þeirra áður Styr vo hann og var hann götvaður þar við veginn [segir sagan].
