Ólafur konungur var svo búinn að hann hafði hjálm gylltan á
höfði en hvítan skjöld og lagður á með gulli kross hinn
helgi. Í annarri hendi hafði hann kesju þá er nú stendur í
Kristskirkju við altara. Hann var gyrður sverði því er
Hneitir var kallað, hið bitrasta sverð og gulli vafiður
meðalkaflinn. Hann hafði hringabrynju.
Þess getur Sighvatur skáld:
Öld vann Ólafr fellda,
öflgan sigr, hinn digri,
gekk sóknþorinn sækja
sinjór fram í brynju.
En, þeir er austan nenna,
óx hildr, með gram mildum,
mart segi eg bert, í bjarta
blóðröst, Svíar, óðu.
