Um vorið sendi Ólafur konungur orð að Eyvindur skyldi koma
til hans. Þeir töluðu lengi einmæli.
Eftir það brátt bjóst Eyvindur í víking. Hann sigldi suður eftir Víkinni og lagði að í Eikureyjum út frá Hísing. Þar spurði hann að Hrói skjálgi hafði farið norður í Orðost og hafði þar saman dregið leiðangur og landskyldir og var hans þá norðan von.
Þá reri Eyvindur inn til Haugasunda en Hrói reri þá norðan og
hittust þar í sundinu og börðust. Þar féll Hrói og nær þremur
tigum manna en Eyvindur tók allt fé það er Hrói hafði haft.
Fór Eyvindur þá í Austurveg og var þar í víking um sumarið.
