The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Markús af Skógi og þeir Sigurður fóstrar réðu ofan í Víkina er voraði og fengu sér þar skip. En er Erlingur spurði það þá fór hann austur eftir þeim og hittust þeir í Konungahellu. Flýðu þeir Markús út í eyna Hísing. Dreif þar ofan landsfólk, Hísingsbúar, og gengu í fylking með Markúss mönnum. Þeir Erlingur reru að landi en Markúss menn skutu á þá.

Þá mælti Erlingur við sína menn: "Tökum skip þeirra og göngum ekki upp að berjast við landsher. Hísingsbúar eru illir heimsóknar, harðir menn og óvitrir. Munu þeir litla hríð hafa flokk þenna með sér því að Hísing er lítið land."

Svo var gert að þeir tóku skipin og fluttu yfir til Konungahellu. Markús og hans lið fóru upp á Markir og ætluðu þaðan til áhlaupa. Höfðu þá hvorir njósn af öðrum. Erlingur hafði fjölmenni mikið, nefndi þar til lið úr héruðum. Veittu þá hvorigir öðrum árásir.
