description
Ingimarr af Aski Sveinsson (Ingimarr) is known from his dealings with the Icelander Gullásu-Þórðr (GullásÞ; see
Mork 1928-32,
359-64;
Fms 7, 111-18;
ÍF 11, 337-49). He was a Norw. district chieftain who fell out of favour with King Eysteinn Magnússon (d. 1122) and fled to Denmark. When Ingimarr returned, he became the staunch supporter of Haraldr gilli(-kristr) ‘servant (of Christ)’ Magnússon (d. 1136) and died at the battle of Färlev (Fyrileif) between Haraldr and Magnús inn blindi ‘the Blind’ Sigurðarson on 9 August 1134 (
