[1] framði ‘excelled’: Reyndi (sik) ‘tested himself’ (so F) is an equally good reading. Ungr framði sik ‘the young one excelled’ echoes Mark Eirdr 18/3, 4, which was composed approximately at the same time as Magnkv.
