Note to Sturl Hákfl 6II

[5] Knútr: The son of Jarl Hákon galinn ‘the Crazy’ Fólkviðarson and Kristín Nikulássdóttir. His paternal grandmother was Cécilía, the half-sister of Sverrir Sigurðarson (Hákon Hákonarson’s grandfather). After Hákon galinn’s death, Kristín married Áskell Magnússon, lawman in Västgötaland and the eldest brother of Jarl Birgir Magnússon. See also Note to Máni Lv 4/1, 2IV.
