9. Notes

This is not currently part of the peer-reviewed material of the project. Do not cite as a research publication.

These should be brief but offer information necessary to the interpretation of the verse, including main alternative possibilities. Notes must refer to specific sections of text in the form outlined below, except in the (probably rare) instances that a note refers to the whole verse. Examples of this might include instances where the note gives contextual or general information about the verse and does not concern the prose context (e.g. first note to Ragnarsdrápa st. 3 in the sample verses).
