3. How to link a named thing (being, person, place, ethnic group) to a source

This is not currently part of the peer-reviewed material of the project. Do not cite as a research publication.

Use these instructions to make semantic links between the named thing table (SQL: ‘thing’) and the PCRN sources table (SQL: ‘source’).

  1. Ensure that the named thing is in the index/entities table
  2. Locate the source with the reference
  3. Use the ‘entities’ field in the ‘source information’ form under the entry in the sources table to add a reference to the thing
