BIII. Build-up of the edition

To understand the build-up of this text database it is important to appreciate that the ordering of French laisses ('stanzas) as established in Roepke 1909 is the structural dterminant, thus laisses are referred to as 'R219' etc. The website offers full choice as to how many texts a user wishes to have visible on his/her screen at a time. As a default when opening, the French text L2 and the two main Old Norse texts A open up. On sorting, see Guide to use. The distant user can also download each text in full for his or her own purposes.
