text and translation

The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Aðils konungr hrósaði nú sigri ok þóttist mjök hafa framast,
er hann vann konung svá ágætan sem Helgi var ok svá víðfrægr.

Yrsa drottning mælti: "Eigi er einsætt at hælast svá mjök,
þótt þú hafir svikit þann mann, sem mér er mestr vandi við ok
ek unna mest, ok fyrir þetta it sama verð ek þér aldri holl,
ef þú átt við venslamenn Helga konungs. Berserkjum þínum ræð
ek þegar bana, er ek má, ef nokkurir eru svá vaskir, at þat
vili gera fyrir mínar sakir ok sinnar snilldar."

Aðils konungr bað hana at heitast ekki við sik né berserki
sína, -"því at þat skal þér eigi duga. En ek vil bæta þér
föðurdauðann stórmannligum gjöfum með miklum fjárhlutum ok
góðum gersemum, ef þú kannt at þekkjast."

Drottning sefast við þetta ok þiggr sæmdir af konungi. Hún er
þó óhæg síðan í skapsmunum, ok opt sat hún um þat at gera
berserkjum mein ok svívirðu. Aldri finna menn, at drottning
yrði allkát síðan eða í góðu skapi eptir fall Helga konungs,
ok meira varð ósamþykki í höllinni en áðr hafði verit, ok
ekki vildi drottning sæma við Aðils konung, ef hún skyldi
ráða.

Aðils konungr þóttist nú stórum frægr gerast, ok þykkir nú sá
mestr maðr vera, er með honum er ok hans köppum. Sitr hann nú
um hríð í sínu ríki ok hugsar engi muni reisa rönd við sér ok
sínum berserkjum. Aðils konungr var inn mesti blótmaðr ok
fullr af fjölkynngi.
