New articles, updates, etc.
This page provides access to new draft articles which supplement the alphabetical sequence of the published volumes (a-em). The draft articles cover a selection of the total vocabulary (see History and development - Recent developments):
- Verbs
- Prepositions
- Simplex nouns (early 2011)
Verbs and prepositions are not edited semantically, but the citations are sorted structurally on a formal/syntactic basis (e.g. prepositions are presented in relation to case governance, dative or accusative, etc., and verbs in relation to medio-passive and prepositions/adverbs).
The nouns are edited in draft form, by one editor only, and with explanations in only one language (Danish or English)
Dictionary articles in the printed volumes of ONP included citations that were not represented in ONP's archives but were supplemented from older lexica such as Fritzner and Cleasby-Vigfusson. This supplementation is at present undertaken for the simplex nouns only.
