○. Lexicon Poeticum Progress Diary 4. October 2016

4. October 2016

This is not currently part of the peer-reviewed material of the project. Do not cite as a research publication.

Various updates to the data and interface:

  • Continuing adding variants and lemmatising (up to Eyv Hál 10 on 18/10, and more later in October)
  • Refining of form and related processes and data including linking variants to base text words (see link under data admin); next stanza links now go across poems/groups so that you can traverse volumes without going back to volume contents [this has since been removed as it put too much load on the mysql server, but good to know it's possible...]
  • LP web interface ‑ improving verse view with links to words, word view with full information and lemma view with more citations, linked dictionary entries and clearer info about mss and citations
  • Added main links to home page (for narrow devices, where menu isn’t clear)
  • Refinement of instructions in lemmatising and lexical variant forms
  • Added automatic ‘gramm. variant’ where variant lemma matches base text
  • Information about lemma includes ordering of citations and mss by date (this needs checking though!)
  • Refinement of LP interface, including creating a lemma-manuscript view which shows all instances of a word in a particular manuscript
