The maiden will be to men the greatest protection and true comfort and certainly the noblest support, for whoever has a need. All people should love you for your mercy; your peoples have experience of it; you are kind to men.

The scribe of 2166ˣ writes raun in the main text, but mentions the defective reading ‘rei..’ in the margin. — [8] þjóðir: Jón Sigurðsson writes þjóð in the main text in 399a-bˣ but gives the reading þjóðir in the margin. The scribe of 2166ˣ gives the reading þjóð in the margin.
