See Haugen’s discussion (2001, 268, §17.3.1) of dobbel bestemming ‘double definiteness’. This reading, peculiar to Bb, is followed in the eds of Wisén (1886-9, I), Eiríkur Magnússon (1870), and Guðbrandur Jónsson (1933, 1951, 1992). Skj B and Skald follow the majority mss’ ens flærðarfulla which qualifies fjanda in l. 8, ens flærðarfulla fjanda ‘of the treacherous devil’.
