Slembir Lv 1II/2 — vér ‘we’

Gótt vas í gamma,        es vér glaðir drukkum,
ok glaðr grams sonr        gekk meðal bekkja.
Vasa þar gamans vant        at gamansdrykkju;
þegn gladdi þegn        þarlands sem hvar.

Vas gótt í gamma, es vér drukkum glaðir, ok glaðr sonr grams gekk meðal bekkja. Þar vasa vant gamans at gamansdrykkju; þegn gladdi þegn, þarlands sem hvar.

It was good in the hut when we drank, gladdened, and the glad-hearted son of the ruler [= Sigurðr] went between the benches. There was no lack of cheer at the cheerful drinking; retainer gladdened retainer, there as everywhere.
