Ív Sig 33II/3 — bitra ‘sharp’

Séa knátti þar        fyr Sigurði
bitra branda,         brynjur hǫggnar,
skarða skjǫldu,         skǫpt blóðroðin,
veðrblásin vé        of vegǫndum.

Þar knátti séa fyr Sigurði bitra branda, hǫggnar brynjur, skarða skjǫldu, blóðroðin skǫpt, veðrblásin vé of vegǫndum.

There one could see before Sigurðr sharp swords, sundered byrnies, chipped shields, blood-reddened spear-shafts, storm-swept banners above the fighting troops.
