The brave lord ruled the bedmate of Þundr <= Óðinn> [= Jǫrð (jǫrð ‘earth’)] for three and seventy years, before the only daughter of the chieftain [Loptr] <= Loki> [= Hel (hel ‘death’)] came to rob the ruler of his life.
