Anon Mgr 48VII/4 — hjarta ‘heart’

Mönnum eru slík heitin hennar
harðla væn, en tár og bænir
helgar láti hverr maðr fylgja
hjarta klökku og iðran bjarta.
Regnsals skulu vier ræsi tígna
rausnsaman oss til syndalausnar;
honum gjöri dýrð á himni og jörðu
hverskyns þjóð og dróttins móður.

Slík heitin hennar eru harðla væn mönnum, en hverr maðr láti tár og helgar bænir og bjarta iðran fylgja klökku hjarta. Vier skulu tígna rausnsaman ræsi regnsals til syndalausnar oss; hverskyns þjóð gjöri honum og móður dróttins dýrð á himni og jörðu.

Such promises of hers are very hopeful for men, and may each man let tears and holy prayers and pure repentance accompany the agitated heart. We must honour the magnificent ruler of the rain-hall [SKY/HEAVEN > = God (= Christ)] for our redemption from sins; may all kinds of people provide glory to him and to the mother of the Lord [= Mary] in heaven and on earth.
