Sjá er elskulig Máría meyja
móðir Krists, er alt hið góða
veitir, þiggur, giefr og gætir,
gæskulífið allra vífa.
Sínar flytr hún sætar bænir
syndug þjóð að hljóti yndi;
henni mega því allir unna;
ann hun hverjum kristnum manni.

Elskulig meyja Máría, er veitir, þiggur, giefr og gætir alt hið góða, gæskulífið allra vífa, sjá er móðir Krists. Hún flytr sínar sætar bænir, að syndug þjóð hljóti yndi; því mega allir unna henni; hun ann hverjum kristnum manni.

The beloved maiden Mary, who offers, receives, gives and protects everything good, the gracious life of all women, she is the mother of Christ. She delivers her sweet prayers so that sinful people get happiness; therefore all people can love her; she loves every Christian person.
