Anon Mey 37VII/6 — drotning ‘queen’

Sárra bið eg að sálna várra
— synda verða þungar myndir —
minniz þier fyr miskunn sanna,
meyjar guðs, þá er vier skulum deyja.
Yfirkóróna allra vífa
ein Máría drotning hreinust
henni þjóna helgar kvinnur
hallar guðs og meyjar allar.

Eg bið, að þier, meyjar guðs, fyr sanna miskunn minniz várra sárra sálna, þá er vier skulum deyja; myndir synda verða þungar. Yfirkóróna allra vífa, ein Máría, hreinust drotning, helgar kvinnur og meyjar allar hallar guðs þjóna henni.

I ask that you, maidens of God, by true mercy remember our wounded souls, when we must die; the shapes of our sins become heavy. The superior crown of all women, the one Mary, purest queen, holy women and all maidens of the hall of God [HEAVEN] serve her.
