Anon Mey 27VII/3 — ástir ‘love’

Ekki gietr hann jungfrú lokkað
ótta þraungda úr faðmi dróttins;
ristil liet við reingdar ástir
reiður jarl fyr dómstól leiða.
Bæði liet hann brjóst af fljóði
— bundin stóð hun píslum undir —
spreingja út með spennitaungum;
sprakkinn gjörði drottni þakkir.

Hann gietr ekki lokkað ótta þraungda jungfrú úr faðmi dróttins; jarl, reiður við reingdar ástir, liet leiða ristil fyr dómstól. Hann liet bæði brjóst spreingja út af fljóði með spennitaungum; hun stóð bundin undir píslum; sprakkinn gjörði þakkir drottni.

He cannot entice the fear-oppressed maiden from the embrace of the Lord; the earl, angry because of rejected love, had the lady brought before the judgement seat. He had both breasts ruptured from the woman with forceps; she stood bound during the tortures; the woman gave thanks to the Lord.
