Sýn þig, gæzku grundar

þýðr var borinn með prýði.
Blessuð ván, og bænir
berr, skínandi, þínar
heilagr Kristr í hæsta

Sýn þig, f…a móðir guðs, grundar gæzku, þess, er að vísu var borinn af þier, þýðr, með prýði. Og blessuð ván, skínandi lofi fyrða, heilagr Kristr berr bænir þínar í hæsta dýrð himins.

Reveal yourself, … mother of God [= Mary], of the ground of grace [= God (= Christ)], and of that one who in truth was born from you, gentle, with splendour. And, blessed hope, shining with men’s praise, holy Christ carries your prayers into the highest glory of heaven [= Mary].
