Anon Mdr 27VII/1 — Hár ‘The high’

Hár giefr hjálpir …
heims valdr kyni beima,
Kristr og miskunn mesta,
meginteitum, … veitir.
Lýtr öll veröld ítri
yfirþjóðkonungs móður;
verð er drottning dýrðar
dæmd til efri sæmdar.

Hár valdr heims giefr meginteitum kyni beima hjálpir … og Kristr veitir mesta miskunn. Öll veröld lýtr ítri móður yfirþjóðkonungs; drottning dýrðar er dæmd verð til efri sæmdar.

The high ruler of the world [= God] gives the very glad kinsfolk of men [MANKIND] … helps … and Christ grants the greatest mercy. The whole world bows down before the glorious mother of the supreme king <= God> [= Mary]; the queen of glory is adjudged worthy of very high honour.
