Anon Líkn 50VII/5 — Lát ‘let’

Æsti ek öllu trausti,
ítr, þik er görst kant líta
með réttvísi, ræsir
regnsals, hvat er mér gegnir.
Lát mik laun fyr þetta
lof þitt, konungr, hitta
víst, þau er varðar mestu,
veðra tjalds, of aldir.

Ítr ræsir regnsals, öllu trausti æsti ek þik, er görst kant líta með réttvísi, hvat er mér gegnir. Konungr veðra tjalds, lát mik víst hitta fyr þetta þitt lof laun, þau er mestu varðar of aldir.

Glorious lord of the rain-hall [SKY/HEAVEN > = God], in all trust I ask of you, who can most perfectly see with justice, whatever is fitting for me. King of the storms’ pavilion [SKY/HEAVEN > = God], let me certainly attain for this your encomium those rewards which are of greatest worth forever.
