Kálf Kátr 48VII/5 —  ‘now’

Alla kveðr eg aldar stillis
eingla sveit, að mier skuli veita
tienað sinn, svá taki að hrynja
tárin hrein af brúnar steinum.
Ráðinn er eg allra að iðraz
ódáða, svá að eg fái náðir
annars heims, þá er drottinn dæmir
dýrstrar hallar þjóðir allar.

Eg kveðr alla sveit eingla stillis aldar, að skuli veita mier tienað sinn, svá hrein tárin taki að hrynja af steinum brúnar. Eg er ráðinn að iðraz allra ódáða, svá að eg fái náðir annars heims, þá er drottinn dýrstrar hallar dæmir þjóðir allar.

I invoke the entire host of angels of the ruler of people [= God], that it will grant me its assistance, so that pure tears begin to run from the stones of the eye-brow [EYES]. I am now determined to repent all misdeeds, so that I will receive peace in the other world, when the king of the most glorious hall [= God (= Christ)] judges all peoples.
