Innsteinn Innkv 8VIII (Hálf 28)/1 — fylkir ‘The prince’

Hlítt hefir fylkir         í förum úti
mínum ráðum         mörgu sinni.
Nú kveð ek öngu,         er ek mæli,
hlýða vilja,         sízt hingat kómum.

Fylkir hefir mörgu sinni hlítt ráðum mínum í förum úti. Nú kveð ek hlýða vilja öngu, er ek mæli, sízt kómum hingat.

The prince has many times trusted my advice while on journeys out at sea. Now I declare [him] unwilling to listen to anything I say since we have come here.
