GunnLeif Merl II 68VIII/3 — gumna ‘of men’

Ok herþarfr         hrindi gǫrla
gumna liðs         grandi hverju,
svát til lífs         leiði gǫrva
þjóðar vǫrðr         þetta mengi.

Ok hrindi herþarfr gǫrla hverju grandi liðs gumna, svát vǫrðr þjóðar leiði gǫrva þetta mengi til lífs.

And may the one beneficent to his people utterly avert all harm to the host of men, so that the protector of the people [= God] may fully lead this multitude to life.
