ǪrvOdd Ævdr 23VIII (Ǫrv 93)/7 — fagna ‘welcome’

Búnir létumz         á burt þaðan
brátt ór eyju,         þegar byr fengi.
Heilir kómum         heim ór þeiri;
gerðu fagna         frændr hollvinum.

Létumz brátt búnir þaðan á burt ór eyju, þegar fengi byr. Kómum heilir heim ór þeiri; frændr gerðu fagna hollvinum.

We were ready to go away from there quickly from the island as soon as a favourable wind appeared. We came home unharmed from that [journey]; kinsmen made their loyal friends welcome.
