Anon Lil 3VII/2 — hag

Beiði eg þig, mær og móðir,
mínum að fyrir umsjá þína
renni mál af raddartólum
riettferðugt í vísum sliettum,
skýr og sæt af vörrum várum
vorðin svá, að mætti orðin
laugaz öll í glóanda gulli;
guði væri eg þau skyldr að færa.

Eg beiði þig, mær og móðir, að fyrir þína umsjá renni riettferðugt mál í sliettum vísum af raddartólum mínum, skýr og sæt af vörrum várum, vorðin svá, að öll orðin mætti laugaz í glóanda gulli; þau væri eg skyldr að færa guði.

I ask you, maiden and mother, that with your overseeing proper speech may flow in smooth verses from my voice-tools [ORGANS OF SPEECH], clear and sweet from our [my] lips, fashioned so that all the words might be washed in shining gold: I would be bound to bring them to God.
