Notes: [2] es gǫfug ‘when the noble ones’: Emendation proposed by Jón Helgason 1932-3. — [2] …izk: Finnur (Skj A) conjectured fundizk ‘been reunited’ for this lacuna, but there is no evidence from the hendingar or alliteration. — [3] ǫll ‘all’: Emendation proposed by Finnur Jónsson 1887. Although the ms. is illegible here, ǫll is very likely to be the correct reading on the basis of the rhyme and alliteration. — [4] …: Jón Helgason 1932-3, who thought he could make out two <a>s, proposed tjalda ‘of the tents’ here. Finnur Jónsson 1887 (but not Skj A) read the last two letters of the word as <gu>. — [7] rekka sveit ‘band of men’: This reading is found in Sveinbjörn Egilsson’s notes to the transcription of the poem, but is not incorporated into his text of Pl. — [7] prýddri ‘adorned’: Emendation proposed by Finnur Jónsson 1887.
