The king of the clouds [= God (= Christ)] dries [the eyes of] his follower and encourages him for a long time; joyful with love he greets him and then kisses the mouth wet [with tears]: ‘Mercy has long since been obtained; cease from weeping, my son! You shall yet follow in most of my footsteps all the way to martyrdom.’
