Hann kallaði þa sva mælandi: ‘Komit til min, ok mun ek lata yckr heðan af verða fiskimenn manna.’Þat er sva skilianda, at varr herra sagði sva, at ‘heðan af munut þit mennina veiða helldr en fiska.’ ‘Some days later, Jesus the Son of God walked along the aforementioned seashore and saw the brothers Simon Peter and Andrew fishing with a net on a ship. He called them, speaking thus: “Come to me, and I shall let you henceforth become fishers of men.” That is to be understood in this way: that our Lord said thus, that “henceforth you two will catch men rather than fish.”’
