Jónas sonr var Símón
sannr og Andréas annarr;
forðaz hórdóm harðan
háðs þverrendur báðir.
Átti hinn með hætti
hyrs, að nefndum fyrri,
grund, þvíað gæfa sendiz,
gjálfrs, af drotni sjálfum.

Símón var sannr sonr Jónas og Andréas annarr; báðir {þverrendur háðs} forðaz harðan hórdóm. Hinn, að nefndum fyrri, átti með hætti {grund {gjálfrs hyrs}}, þvíað gæfa sendiz af drotni sjálfum.

Simon was the true son of Jona and Andrew [was] the second; both {diminishers of scorn} [HOLY MEN] avoid injurious whoredom. The one we named first was married decently {to a land {of the ocean’s fire}} [GOLD > WOMAN], because grace was sent [to him] from the Lord himself.
